Ingredients:

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice: Freshly squeezed for the best flavor.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil: Adjusted quantity to ensure even coating without overwhelming the salmon.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper: To taste, for seasoning.

Equipment:

  • Homtone compact pizza oven with roast function
  • Enamel baking tray
  • Tongs or oven mitts for handling hot trays

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Salmon
Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to the ROAST function at 400°F (200°C).
Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to ensure the seasonings adhere well.

Step 2: Create the Lemon Garlic Mixture
Mix Ingredients: In a small bowl, combine the lemon juice, olive oil, and minced garlic.
Season: Add salt and pepper to taste.

Step 3: Prepare the Baking Tray
Place Salmon on Tray: Arrange the salmon fillets on your enameled baking tray in a single layer.
Pour Mixture Over Salmon: Pour the lemon garlic mixture over the salmon, ensuring each piece is well coated.

Step 4: Roast the Salmon
Roast: Place the tray in the oven and roast for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. The cooking time may vary slightly depending on the thickness of your fillets.

Step 5: Check and Serve
Check for Doneness: After 12-15 minutes, check the salmon for doneness by ensuring it flakes easily with a fork.
Serve: Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a minute before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.

Tips for Roasting Salmon in a Compact Oven:

  • Size Matters: Adjusting the size of the salmon fillets ensures they fit comfortably in your oven and cook evenly.
  • Even Coating: Ensure the lemon garlic mixture is evenly distributed over the salmon for consistent flavor.
  • Check Often: Keep an eye on the salmon as it cooks to prevent overcooking and ensure it reaches the perfect flaky texture.
