Craving a taste of the sea? This rich and creamy lobster bisque is the ultimate indulgence, and with your 1.6L Soup Maker, it’s easier than ever to make at home! Even with just 4 functions (Smooth, Chunky, Blend, and Clean), you can create this restaurant-quality dish without any extra pots or pans. Let’s dive in!

Lobster Bisque (Using Soup Maker Only)

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter

  • 1/2 cup diced onion

  • 1/2 cup diced celery

  • 1/2 cup diced carrots

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup cooked lobster meat (fresh or frozen), chopped

  • 4 cups seafood or chicken broth

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for a hint of heat)

  • 1 bay leaf

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley or chives, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Base (Chunky Mode):

    • Add olive oil or butter, onion, celery, carrots, and garlic to your Soup Maker.

    • Select the "Chunky" function and let it cook for 10 minutes to soften the vegetables.

  2. Add Lobster and Spices:

    • After the vegetables are softened, add the cooked lobster meat, tomato paste, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), and bay leaf.

    • Pour in the seafood or chicken broth.

    • Run the "Chunky" function again for another 18 minutes to let the flavors meld together.

  3. Blend the Bisque (Blend Mode):

    • Once the "Chunky" cycle is complete, carefully remove the bay leaf.

    • Select the "Blend" function and blend the soup until smooth and creamy. This may take 2-3 minutes.

  4. Finish with Cream:

    • Open the lid and stir in the heavy cream.

    • Use the "Chunky" function for 5 minutes to gently heat the cream without boiling it.

  5. Final Touches:

    • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  6. Serve:

    • Ladle the bisque into bowls, garnish with fresh parsley or chives, and enjoy with crusty bread or oyster crackers.

Tips:

  • If you prefer a chunkier texture, skip the "Blend" function and serve the bisque as is after the second "Chunky" cycle.

  • For extra richness, add a splash of brandy or sherry during the second "Chunky" cycle.

  • Use lobster shells to make a quick broth by simmering them in water for 20 minutes, then strain and use in place of store-bought broth.

With your 4-function Soup Maker, making luxurious lobster bisque at home is still a breeze. This elegant dish is perfect for special occasions or when you just want to treat yourself to something extraordinary. 🦞🍲
