Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Cauliflower
Cut the Cauliflower: Cut the cauliflower into thick steaks, about 1 inch thick. Discard the leaves and stem.
Step 2: Season the Cauliflower Steaks
In a Mixing Bowl: Place the cauliflower steaks in a large mixing bowl.
Add Oil and Seasonings: Drizzle the olive oil over the cauliflower and sprinkle with paprika, salt, and pepper.
Toss to Combine: Use a large spoon or your hands to toss the cauliflower until it is evenly coated with the oil and seasonings.
Step 3: Roast the Cauliflower Steaks
Place on Baking Tray: Arrange the seasoned cauliflower steaks in a single layer on your enameled baking tray.
Set the Oven: Set your oven to the ROAST function at 425°F (220°C).
Roast: Place the tray in the oven and roast for 20-25 minutes, or until the cauliflower is tender and slightly browned on the edges.
Step 4: Check and Serve
Check for Doneness: The cauliflower should be easily pierced with a fork and have a slightly crispy exterior.
Serve: Remove the tray from the oven and let the cauliflower steaks rest for a few minutes before transferring them to a serving plate.
Tips for Roasting Cauliflower Steaks:
- Single Layer: Arrange the cauliflower steaks in a single layer to ensure even roasting and prevent steaming.
- Stirring: Stirring the cauliflower steaks halfway through cooking helps them cook evenly and develop a nice roast.
- Seasoning: Don't be shy with the seasonings; they help bring out the natural flavors of the cauliflower.
- Oven Space: Adjust the quantity of cauliflower steaks to fit your oven's size, ensuring they don't overcrowd the tray.
