Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries: You can use frozen if fresh aren't available.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour: For the base of the muffin.
  • 1/2 cup sugar: Granulated sugar works well for sweetness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder: Helps the muffins rise evenly.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt: Enhances the flavor without making it salty.
  • 1 egg: At room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1/4 cup milk: Whole milk or any milk you prefer.

Equipment:

  • Homtone pizza oven with bake function.
  • Mixing bowls.
  • Measuring cups and spoons.
  • Electric mixer or whisk.
  • 12-cup muffin pan, greased or lined with muffin papers.
  • Tongs or oven mitts for handling hot trays.
  • Serving plate.

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Blueberries

  1. Wash Blueberries: Gently rinse the blueberries under cold water and drain well. Pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

Step 3: Mix the Wet Ingredients

  1. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, beat the egg. Then, add the milk and mix well.

Step 4: Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures

  1. Add Wet to Dry: Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, which can lead to tough muffins.

Step 5: Fold in Blueberries

  1. Gently Fold: Gently fold the blueberries into the batter to distribute them evenly without breaking them.

Step 6: Fill the Muffin Cups

  1. Prepare Muffin Pan: Grease a 12-cup muffin pan or line with muffin papers.
  2. Spoon Batter: Fill each muffin cup about 3/4 full with batter.
  3. Top with Berries: Optionally, place a few extra blueberries on top for a burst of flavor.

Step 7: Bake the Muffins

  1. Bake: Set your oven to the bake function at 400°F (204°C). This temperature will ensure the muffins rise properly and cook through. Place the muffin pan in the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs.

Step 8: Cool and Serve

  1. Cool: Remove the muffins from the oven and let them cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
  2. Transfer to a Wire Rack: After 5 minutes, transfer the muffins to a wire rack to cool completely.
  3. Serve: Enjoy the muffins warm or at room temperature.

Tips for Blueberry Muffins:

  • Blueberry Freshness: Fresh blueberries are best, but frozen will work too.
  • Batter Consistency: The batter should be smooth with a few lumps from the berries.
  • Baking Time: Keep an eye on the muffins as they bake to prevent overcooking. The exact time may vary slightly based on your oven.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an a sealed container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
