Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of bread: Choose a type that you love, such as white, wheat, or sourdough.

  • 2 tablespoons butter: Melted for brushing on the apples and bread.

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Apple Slices
Slice the Apple: Peel the apple and cut it into thin slices. Thinner slices will cook faster and more evenly.
Toss with Butter and Cinnamon: In a mixing bowl, combine the apple slices with the melted butter and a pinch of cinnamon. Toss until the apple slices are evenly coated.

Step 2: Assemble the Toast
Prepare the Bread Slices: Lay out the bread slices on your baking sheet or enameled baking tray.
Layer with Cheese: Sprinkle a layer of grated cheddar cheese over each slice of bread.
Top with Apples: Arrange the apple slices on top of the cheese, ensuring they are spread evenly.

Step 3: Toast the Bread

Set: Set your oven to the TOAST function at 350°F (175°C). This temperature will ensure the bread is toasted without burning.

Step 4: Check and Serve
Check for Doneness: After 8-10 minutes, check the toast for a golden brown color and a crispy texture.
