Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Filling
Cook the Meat: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned and cooked through.
Add Vegetables: Add the shredded cabbage and bean sprouts to the cooked meat. Stir to combine.
Season: Stir in the soy sauce and cook until the cabbage is slightly tender, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 2: Assemble the Egg Rolls
Prepare the Wrappers: Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with a corner pointing towards you (diamond shape).
Add Filling: Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the meat and vegetable mixture onto the center of the wrapper.
Fold the Wrapper: Fold the bottom corner up over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll up to the top corner. Seal the edge by dipping your finger in water and running it along the edge of the wrapper.
Step 3: Prepare for Air Frying
Spray or Brush with Oil: Lightly brush the egg rolls with olive oil or spray them with cooking spray to help achieve a crispy texture.
Step 4: Air Fry the Egg Rolls
Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your pizza oven to the AIR FRY function at 400°F (200°C).
Cook the Egg Rolls: Place the egg rolls in the air fry basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch each other. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping the egg rolls halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning and crispiness.
Step 5: Serve
Serve Immediately: Remove the egg rolls from the air fryer and serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, or duck sauce.
Tips:
- Don’t Overfill: Avoid overfilling the wrappers to prevent tearing and leaking.
- Spray or Brush with Oil: This step helps the egg rolls achieve a more even golden color and enhances their crispiness.
- Avoid Overcrowding: Cook the egg rolls in batches to ensure they’re not overcrowded in the air fryer.
- Shake or Turn Halfway: For even browning and crispiness, shake the air fryer basket or turn the egg rolls halfway through the cooking time.
- Serve Immediately: Egg rolls are best enjoyed fresh from the air fryer while they’re still crispy and warm.
