Ingredients:
- 1 ball of pizza dough (about 200g for a 10-inch pizza)
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce or San Marzano tomato puree
- Fresh mozzarella, sliced (about 100g)
- Fresh basil leaves
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt, to taste
Steps:
1. Preheat Oven and Pizza Stone
Select the "wood fired pizza" mode and let the oven preheat for 15 minutes.
2. Prepare the Pizza Dough. Stretch the dough out on a floured surface until you have a thin, even base.
3. Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce over the dough.
4. Top with slices of fresh mozzarella, but leave space between each slice to allow even cooking.
5. Season lightly with salt and drizzle olive oil on top.
6. Place the pizza directly on the preheated pizza stone. Cook for 4 minutes, rotating halfway through.
7. Once the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly, remove and top with fresh basil leaves and a final drizzle of olive oil.
