This summery peach sorbet is made with peach purée that's easy to make with very ripe, fresh, juicy peaches for a deliciously fruity frozen treat.
Ingredients
-
1 pound ripe peaches - peeled, pitted, and chopped
-
2 tablespoons lemon juice
-
½ cup water
-
½ cup white sugar
Directions
-
Place the peaches in a blender and blend until smooth. Transfer 1.5 cups of peach purée into a medium-sized bowl. Immediately add lemon juice and refrigerate.
-
Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved, which takes about 1 minute. Remove the simple syrup from the heat and let it cool to room temperature, then place it in the ice cream maker and select the cooling mode until the mixture is cooled.
-
Combine the cooled peach purée and syrup in the ice cream bowl, select the ice cream mode to start the process. After the process is complete, transfer it to an airtight container and freeze until firm.
