Ingredients
- 4 large egg yolks
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ cups whole milk
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons Tutti Frutti drink mix
- 1 cup chopped candied fruit (see notes)
- ¼ cup crushed pineapple
Instructions

In a large bowl, whisk egg yolks and granulated sugar.

In a medium saucepan over medium - low heat, add milk and heavy cream.

When milk starts steaming and bubbling at edges, remove from heat. Slowly pour into egg yolks, whisking constantly to prevent scrambling. Return mixture to saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly for 3 - 5 minutes until thickened to coat a spoon.

Remove from heat. Strain into a heat - proof bowl and whisk in Tutti Frutti drink mix.

Chill the mixture in the fridge or pour into an ice cream bowl and cool using the chill mode.

Churn ice cream in the ice cream machine until soft - serve consistency. Add candied fruit and crushed pineapple and continue churning until the process is complete.

Transfer ice cream to a loaf pan, cover tightly with plastic wrap and freeze until firm, for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight for better flavor. Alternatively, enjoy immediately after the machine's process ends, depending on your preference.
